A sigh of relief for people in the country as weather experts have said that tropical storm Dumako might not hit the country as earlier expected but the potential of heavy rains in the southern region remains high.

This is because of a possible Southward shift of the storm, which the country’s weather experts say may save the country.

But the department of Climate Change and Meteorological Services has indicated that the storm is currently hovering over the coast of Mozambique.

According to a weather advisory by the Department, there will be thunderstorms over some parts of the northern region including a few areas in the southern region.

However, the potential threat of heavy rains over the southern parts of the country remains high.
