The body of a 26-year-old woman, Rejoice Gama, who went missing after being swept by running water at Chikuli Bridge while in a vehicle last week Wednesday, has been found.
According to Police spokesperson in Mulanje Sub-Inspector Gresham Ngwira, the body was found on Wednesday afternoon a kilometer from the bridge.
He said the body was found in a decomposed state and postmortem conducted has revealed that death was due to suffocation.
Gama hailed from Nkhuku Village, Senior Chief Chikumbu in Mulanje district.
