Other countries like Thailand, Phillipines and Laos have been doing the same as far as 1980s and their countries have been using this as means of generating foreign exchange.
However, in 2010 due to gross abuse of Thai citizens (thailand) in such adventures, the country had to stop the unskilled labour exports but they have since resumed them
