It was a joyous day on Monday for a Karonga-based business operator, Curtberth Mwamulima, for winning a K13 million Toyota NP 200 in the ‘Iponyereniso Kwakuya ndi Illovo’ Competition.

In his remarks, Mwamulima expressed excitement for winning the vehicle, saying he neverdreamt of emerging one of the winners in the competition because he was purchasing the product according to his customers’ demand.

“I am very happy and speechless because there are a lot of people that purchase sugar from Simama General Dealers, but I am the lucky one for winning the biggest prize. I only attribute this to God,” Mwamulima said.

However, Illovo Sugar Malawi Managing Director, Lekani Katandula, expressed concern overthe tendency of some business operators who sell sugar at higher and unrecommended price to make more profits.

Sales Representative of Simama General Dealers, Nerwa Mwenelupembe said he was pleased that one of their customers emerged a winner of the competition.
