A 17-year-old female pupil of Chavuma Boarding Secondary School in Northwestern Province has been brutally murdered in what police suspect is a love triangle.

A passerby discovered the bruised body of the Grade 11 pupil whom police have identified as Yvonne Shimishi, a stone throw distance from her village on Monday.

According to police, the killer also inflicted multiple head injuries to the deceased.

After sniffing around, police learnt that serial lover, 28-year-old Pythias Samakayi was double crossing the deceased with Prudence Masumba aged 21.

To get to the bottom of the murder, police picked Samakayi and his surviving girlfriend who they suspect to have a hand in Yvonne’s death to help with investigations.

ZANIS reports that North-Western Province Deputy Commissioner of Police, Fred Mulenga, confirmed the arrest of the couple.
