One of the top officials in Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Ken Msonda has asked Malawians to give the Tonse Alliance government of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera time to change things in the country.

Msonda said this when reacting to a pastoral letter released on Sunday by the Nkhoma Synod of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP).

In the letter, the church is calling upon the government to swiftly address the economic challenges and corruption as well as the rising cost of goods and services.

The church has also accused the Tonse Alliance of failing to fulfill some of the campaign promises and practicing nepotism.

But reacting to the letter, Msonda said it is wrong to accuse the Lazarus Chakwera-led administration of practising nepotism when “people from all regions have been appointed to various top positions in government and parastatals”.

Msonda also hinted that all concerns raised in the letter are already being addressed by government.
