If You Want to Get Back Together with an Ex, Avoid These Huge Mistakes
It isn’t always easy to get back together with an ex, especially if you have no idea how to approach them after your breakup, to begin with. Things don’t have to be hard when it comes to this, though. You just need to avoid the following huge mistakes to get what you want.
Looking Desperate
If you want to get back together with an ex, then you have to act cool about the whole breakup and make sure you don’t show any signs of desperation afterward. This means that you cannot beg them for another chance, no matter how much you want to. All that you should do is rationally agree to the breakup and separate ways for now. Then, if possible, stay away from your ex completely. This will make them wonder why you agreed to break up so easily and give you power over the overall.
Obsessing
While you are broken up, it would be highly advisable not to obsess over your ex, either. To make sure that you don’t, keep yourself busy so that you stop thinking about them and focus on yourself for a change. No matter what, you have to steer clear of your ex after your breakup, even if your instincts tell you that running after them will let them know how much you love them.
However, not only will they start getting sick of your persistence if you do this, but you could ruin your chance of ever getting back together. You will end up in a better position to get back together with an ex if you just lay low for a while.
Being too Available
You should never be too available to your ex, either. Even if they want to meet up or try to call you, tell them that you already have other plans and reschedule to a date and time that is more convenient for you.
Holding Grudges
Of course, you shouldn’t hold grudges if you want to get back together with an ex. If you aren’t able to let go of your past mistakes, then they will just pop up again eventually and cause even more problems. Even if the breakup wasn’t your fault at all, you need to learn how to forgive if you want to fix things. If not, then you have to move on with your life and look for someone else. Remember: forgiveness doesn’t necessarily mean that you agree with their mistakes, but that you love them so much that you are willing to start anew.
