The much-anticipated construction works for Nyasa Big Bullets village will commence soon according to the information we gathered from the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Suzgo Nyirenda.

The People’s team unveiled 13 hectares of land in Mpemba, 7 kilometers outside Blantyre Central Business District (CBD) for the construction of the facility back in December last year, where among others, they wanted to construct a mini stadium, two training grounds, Offices, Houses and conference facilities.

During the unveiling ceremony of the land, the People’s Team announced to begin the construction works this year, March 2022, and set the timeline of three months to complete pitches.

Six months down the line, the construction works are yet to start but CEO Suzgo Nyirenda has revealed to have finalized paper works with the contractor.

“The construction will resume shortly as we had to get a contractor who will do the task as planned. So as of now, we are almost done with paperwork” said Nyirenda

He further sides the commencement of the project was delayed as they didn’t want to rush into the process of tendering and bidding saying it needs to be done carefully.

The CEO further said the contractor is expected to be given a timeline to meet with team’s desire of finalizing the project quickly

Nyasa Big Bullets President Konrad Burkle promised in the past that the project will be done to honor the promises they made when the team was handed over to them.

The TNM Super League Champions admitted in the past that they spend over K30million for training grounds rentals annually and they believe their own facility will cut the expenses.

The team is expected to construct a 10-20 seater stadium which will be their official home ground.
