Social media activist Joshua Chisa Mbele is in court this afternoon as State wants his bail revoked for breaching bail conditions through his recent posts on his Facebook page.

State witness Snr Superintendent Henry Kalungu, a police officer is giving his testimony. He tells the court that Mbele’s bail conditions stated that Mbele should not post anything that is in conflict with other’s human rights, Public order, public health and hate speech.

He says, for instance Mbele made a post saying that voting out DPP is like jumping urine just to end up stepping on feces.

He adds that, Mbele also posted another post where he faulted National Intelligence Authority for not knowing that Zunneth Sattar was in the country in March, according to Kalungu Mbele labeled the office useless.

Further, Kalungu says on another post, Mbele was calling for a period of rage until the Tonse government collapses.

“The screenshots were taken on 5th June 2022 then after 5th June the posts were deleted” says Kalungu.
