Loans Board Officials Granted Bail

Chief Resident Magistrate Madalitso Chimwaza has granted bail to two officials from Higher Education Students Loans and Grants Board.
The two are Chimwemwe Kaphagawani, former Grants Manager and Success Sikwese, former Communications manager who were arrested over the alleged theft of about k335 million meant for students’ loans.
The two were formally charged with two counts last week, namely; Theft by person employed in the public service and money laundering.
They have since pleaded not guilty to both charges.
