Former Secretary to the President and Cabinet (OPC) Lloyd Muhara and business magnet Leston Mulli have been charged with two counts namely; Conspiracy to defraud and Abuse of office.

According to State Prosecutor Levison Mangani a substantive charge sheet will be provided later as well as a number of witnesses.

The two were arrested yesterday in relation to their alleged involvement in a loan settlement deal to have Mulli Brothers Limited (MBL) pay K5 billion in 50 years.

They were detained at Lumbadzi Police Station after they were moved from Lilongwe Area 3 Police Station.

Lawyers for the two are currently applying for bail on the matter.
