Winner of the Mk1 million FDH Bank “Kukonza Tsogolo Promotion” has rejected the cash prize saying the bank should donate the money to the needy in the country.

The winner identified as Alfred Makwasa Lucius said this when Tiyese Kaimila, the Bank’s marketing officer called him to break the news.

“I have money. In fact, I am going to buy a car now. There are a lot of poor people out there. Give the money to them, not me,” he responded.

FDH Bank senior manager under personal and business banking, Elizabeth Phoya, said “there are a lot of issues going around concerning fraud so it is normal to see someone being cautious with phone calls of this nature.

“We will be able to follow up with our official line and we will ask the customer to go to our branch.”

The purpose of the promotion whose grand prize is K5 million is to promote investment and savings culture among customers.
