In the early hours of Friday, July 15th, the people of Chandrasekharpur in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district witnessed something strange and usual in their community. They saw an elderly man walking in the street with a woman’s head in his hands.
The man in this context is a 55-year-old Indian man. The man beheaded his wife on account of suspected infidelity. After beheading his 45-year-old wife, he headed to the police station close by, holding the head of the wife.
Soon after the man was apprehended, the shocking video of the incident went viral on social media
The 55-year-old man was identified as Nakaphodi Majhi, a native of Chandrasekharpur, and the wife was identified as Sachala Majh.
According to reports, they had been married for over 25 years. They even have two children.
The police reported that the couple had been having a series of arguments on the topic of infidelity. The man often fights with his wife because of this infidelity issue.
In the early hours of Friday morning, he took the fight to another level by slitting his wife’s throat before beheading her with a sharp weapon.
On his way to the nearest police station, he was nabbed by some people in the area and was later arrested by the police. More investigations are still ongoing.
