Extradition case involving Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife, Mary, is set to resume in court this morning in Lilongwe.

Chief Resident Magistrate Madalitso Chimwaza expects to hear submissions from the State and Bushiri’s lawyers on how witnesses should testify in the case.

Currently, the State insists the witnesses should not physically come to Malawi and testify.

But Prophet Bushiri’s lawyers maintain the witnesses should physically testify in the country’s courts, according to an earlier ruling by the court.

Magistrate Chimwaza will then make a ruling which will provide directions on how the witnesses should tender their testimonies after hearing these two submissions.
