Peoples Land Organization (PLO) leader Vincent Wandale on Tuesday refused to enter the courtroom in Blantyre over security reasons.
Wandale is said to written the courts that as the President of the United States of Mulanje and Thyolo (Must) was supposed to have his security details with him which the Office of the President and Cabinet is failing to provide.
The PLO leader has also confirmed of the development in a statement posted on his official facebook page seen by this publication.
“I decided not to enter into court today for security reasons. The court went in session while I was outside and decided to adjurn for ten days. I presented the attached letter to the court including the medical report,” wrote Wandale.
Wandale was today scheduled to take plea before Chief Resident Magistrate Madalitso Chimwaza in a case where he is accused of publication of false statements likely to cause fear and alarm to the public.
Meanwhile, Chief Resident Magistrate Madalitso Chimwaza has given the state 10 days to make submissions in the case.
