Senior Counsel Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi despite being named part of the legal team that will be representing DP Ruto in the case filed by the Azimio One Kenya Alliance team in protest of DP Ruto’s statehouse bid.
The Senior Counsel Lawyer has posted via his social media informing that he will not be representing William Ruto in the anticipated presidential petition due to conflicting interests.
“In 2017 I acted for Uhuru against Raila. Now that Raila is challenging Ruto’s victory, obviously Uhuru will object & raise clients-Advocate privilege,” Lawyer Ahmednasir has said.
Adding that instead, he will be running a Twitter commentary on the Supreme Court petition that will be filed by Hon Raila.
“From tomorrow I will run a Twitter commentary on the Supreme Court petition that will be filed by Hon Raila. I will appraise the strength & weaknesses of the case, the responses by the respondents & jurisprudential clues we should look for from the 7 judges. I will predict the decision,” the Lawyer has said.
After the Lawyers statements, Raila Odinga’s team has fired back led by his Lawyer Silas Jakakimba who has told Lawyer Ahmednasir that what he remains in denial of the truth and that the future remains blue predicting a win for Raila Odinga.
“Hahaha…Snr! The Future remains BLUE,” Lawyer Silas Jakakimba has said.
Narok Senator Ledama Olekina and a close ally of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has also said that “Forgive my abti Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi… he is eating Ethiopian food in DC … as the big boys fight it out at the Supreme Court …Abti DuPont Circle is a good place to hang out in DC enjoy and shut up for once.”
