Well-known Afrobeat star Che Wikise, real name real name Frank Chawinga has escaped chopping by a thin thread following his misunderstanding with one of the real estate agencies in the country, Atlas Realtors.

The company summoned Che Wikise over his Njoyako hit single which according to the company is discouraging Malawians from investing properties like houses and plots.

Among other duties and responsibilities, as our brand ambassador, you are supposed to influence the target market to buy services and products of Atlas Realtors by educating them on the importance of the same,” reads part communiqué.

After the discussions today, the two sides have agreed to go on with the partnership.

Che Wikise has confirmed of the development in a statement posted on his official facebook page seen by this publication.

“I would like to take this time to appreciate my team, Atlas Realtors for their continued trust in our partnership and their constant push to help Malawian youth in asset investment. Our partnership continues and is stronger than ever before,” said Che Wikise.

Turning to the ‘Njoyako’ hit single Che Wikise said: “Si chilichonse chomwe oyimba timakamba munyimbo chikuyenela kutengedwa mwa serious, and with that being said, i made my song “Njoyako” as a feel good song for my fans with the economic hardships that are going on with the aim of relieving their stress and my own as well. Having said that, what i didn’t encourage in the song is for people to spend irresponsibly, but rather take some time off and enjoy the fruits of their labour.

“As youths we have to be smart about financial decisions and part of that is saving and investing in things like land and businesses. The reality on the ground is that most of the successful businesses in the country and most assest holders are people of foreign descent and as a generation that’s taking the leadership mantle, it’s only right that we save and invest in such important assets to secure our future and the futures of the next generations.”
