A nineteen year-old grade 12 pupil in Nalolo District has been found dead hanging from a rope in his house.
While many parents are eager to see their child completing high school at that stage, so that they can brag to their neighbors and friends, Mulonda Mutumba was telling a remorseful story of his son’s death.
Mutumba reported to the police that his son Dennis Nyambe, who was in his last year of high school at Muoyo Secondary was found in the sitting room hanging from a rope lifeless by one of his friends.
Western Province Acting Commanding Officer Fwambo Siame confirmed the incident to ZANIS in Nalolo stating it occurred on Monday September 12, 2022.
Siame told ZANIS that the police later visited the scene, inspected the body and discovered no foul play.
However, the motive behind the teenager’s suicide has not been established.
