Supreme Court of Appeal Justice Ivy Kamanga will tomorrow, Friday rule whether a criminal defamation case involving Malawi Defense Force Commander, Vincent Nundwe and social media influencer, Joshua Chisa Mbele be heard by the Constructional Court or not.

Defense lawyer, Gilbert Khonyongwa wants the previous ruling that the case should be heard as constitutional, be stayed; which the applicant is protesting against.

Today, Justice Kamanga has heard arguments from both parties in which the defense argues the matter borders on infringement of human rights hence it has to be certified as constitutional.

Mbele is answering a defamation case for allegedly making a social media post accusing Nundwe of corruptly receiving money from corruption suspect and businessman, Zuneth Sattar.

Kamanga further directed that Mbele should physically avail himself in court over his earlier remarks that female judges are ugly.
