President Lazarus Chakwera who is in the United States attending the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) met with Malawian Medical Personnel, where the team of doctors pledged to help the country Malawi in source funding to aid Malawi’s health sector.

Chakwera praised the team for offering to support the health sector in Malawi.

“What the Malawian team from United States is about to do is really going to help more and we really appreciate. We Malawians really need support especially in the health section. We need to rise and we need to be where we are today,” said Chakwera.

Edward Kalumbamoyo the team leader has assured the president to help Malawi not in health sector alone but also in education and agriculture sector as well.

Kalumbamoyo continued, “We as Malawians, we are going to help our sisters and brothers in Malawi, we need to identify our problems and seek for help because we cannot allow Malawi to be poor in terms of health, agriculture and education.”

“I will hold hands with my fellow Malawians to make it possible that we should Malawi to improve in the health sector. We are going to collaborate with others and we will donate more and we will also help in many sectors not only in education, health and agriculture,” added Dr Kamana Mbekeyani one of the doctors in United States from Malawi.
