About 10 rabies victims have died for the past two weeks in Malawi after the people failed to access rabies drugs in both government and private hospitals. This is not the first time that Malawi should face shortage of rabies drugs. Three people have died in Manjawira Ntcheu in Malawi’s central region just last week after a dog bitten five people of which two are still batling for their precious lives in the countries major referal hospital, Queen Elizabeth Central hospital where they are just kept without any adminstration of drugs. Three school going kids in Bangwe Blantyre have also died due to rabies upon being bitten by an infected dog on their way from school. The situation is currently going out of hand little by little but the ministry of health seem not to be aware or deliberately ignoring it as usual.
