Both Mithika Linturi, who was nominated to be the Minister of Agriculture, and Aisha Jumwa, who was nominated to be the Minister of Public Service, Gender, and Affirmative Action, have been legally prosecuted in court.

Affirmative action and gender parity are the responsibility of these roles.

Linturi is currently facing legal consequences as a result of a charge of attempted rape.

He is accused of trying to rape a 36-year-old lady in Nanyuki in January of last year.

The ex-Senator of Meru has a checkered record and was once arrested on accusations of fraud and forgery.

However, the police were unable to arrest him and file charges against him because of a stay issued by the High Court.

The charges involved allegations that he forged signatures to secure an Sh530 million bank loan using Marianne Kitana’s properties.

He is accused of wrongdoing since the assets were used as collateral for a loan.

Jumwa is now looking into two cases: a murder probe and the possible theft of 19 million shillings from the CDF.
