Former President Edgar Chagwa Lungu has challenged current President Hakainde Hichilema to remove his immunity and prove in courts if he stole anything.
Lungu’s remarks follow a recent search by the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) conducted at the property of the former President and the seizure of the Lodge.
Speaking to the press at his retirement home Edgar Lungu expressed shock over the attack by government officials targeting him and his then cabinet Ministers.
“Instead of the President accusing me that I and my ministers plundered the resources of this country, he must initiate the process to remove my immunity and take me to court to prove that Indeed I stole” says former Republican President Edgar Chagwa Lungu.
Hakainde Hichilema is yet to comment on the matter.
