The first grade court in Kasungu has sentenced two leaders of Gule wa Mkulu to 14 years imprisonment with hard labor for raping two women.
Kasungu Police spokesperson Joseph Kachikho said identified the leaders as Ngelezi Kasalika and Chimwemwe Chibwe.
Kachikho said, the two victims wanted to join Gule wa Mkulu but they failed because they were charged some amount of money for them to pay.
The victims visited the Gule wa Mkulu leaders on the 26th September 2022.
“Later in the day, Ngelezi and Chimwemwe went to the victims house and demand for sex for them to join free of charge and they also threatened the victims.” He said.
