Big Bullets and Flames striker Gabadinho Mhango has returned to South Arica for a further assessment at South African Premier Soccer League side Bloemfontein Celtic.
He stayed at the club for two weeks in July undergoing trials and played for two games in the Gauteng Cup but was sent back without earning a contract.
Celtic told the local media that he was not the type of the player they were looking for.
But Celtic, who are struggling to score in the opening games of the 2013/2014 season, have in a dramatic turn of events recalled Gabadinho.
According to Bullets general secretary Higger Mkandawire the player left on Monday and is expected back on Wednesday.
“I don’t want to speculate what he is going for in South Africa but has been recalled at Celtic. I don’t want to be misquoted on the players trip but his agent said he is wanted immediately at Celtic.
“We will have a clear picture when he returns,” said Mkandawire.
The player stayed for four weeks in South Africa doing trials at Amuzulu, Celtic and Free State Stars but failed to win a deal at all the three clubs.
If he signs for the club he will join compatriot Limbikani Mzava who has been at the club since 2011.
Ironically Gaba will miss his team’s match against Kamuzu Barracks in the Carlsberg Cup on Wednesday.
