Technical, Entrepreneurial and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TEVETA) Regional Service Centre Manager for the South Conceptor Kachoka has been sent on force leave over the death of an employee Sophie Nyirenda.
TEVETA Executive Director Elwin Sichiola has confirmed of the development in a letter addressed to all staff members seen by this publication.
“Management has with immediate effect sent Mrs Conceptor Kachoka on leave up until investigations are concluded.
“In her absence, Mr shall act as the Regional Service Centre Manager,” reads in part the letter.
Sophie Nyirenda, a daughter to Hon. Justice Kenyatta Nyirenda, Judge in charge Civil Division Lilongwe committed suicide on November 3, 2022 at her house in Chinyonga.
Reports indicate that Nyirenda was shouted at by her boss and this made her to stop going to work from Monday the 31st of October, 2022.
