Death has been announced of Senior Chief Mponda of Mangochi.
Sub-Traditional Authority Mambo, a nephew to the chief has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Mambo, Senior Chief Mponda died on Tuesday evening at his home.
District Commissioner for Mangochi, Raphael Piringu has also confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Piringu, burial arrangements will be communicated later.
