Some people in Kasungu have occupied three classes of Chanthipwi Primary School classes in the area of Chief Wimbe in Kasungu after they were evicted from their land on alleged encroachment.

According to reports, classes have been disturbed for the week as they are accommodating over 20 landless households.

The descendants of the said land owner evicted the whole village of Dickson last week following land dispute.

According to, Headteacher of Chanthipwi primary school McMilan Msanide the homeless people who have occupied three classes are making the process of teaching and learning difficult calling for urgent action.

Senior Chief Wimbe of the area said his office is in touch with the district council to help the homeless people.

There is a likelihood of waterborne outbreak due to poor hygiene.
