Some students at Makandi Community Day Secondary School (CDSS) in Thyolo are fainting due to what is believed to be supernatural attacks.
The school’s headteacher, Elias Kanyimbo, has confirmed this on Monday that several girls have been facing the challenge from last week and now there are two active cases, adding that, “it is a recurrent of what happened in April this year when the situation was worse”.
However, Chairperson for Parents and Teachers Association (PTA), Christopher Mkwanitsa said a meeting with school authorities has established that currently not less than 10 girls are facing the problem at the hostel where they allegedly see ‘black-masked men’ threatening them.
Mkwanitsa indicates that last time the affected students were prayed for, and now they have agreed to engage the chiefs on Wednesday this week to find the possible solution to the recurrent incident at the institution.
