President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has once again failed to live up to his promises to reshuffle his Cabinet as promised last month.

On October 26, 2022 President Chakwera fired Minister of Agriculture Lobin Lowe and his Deputy Madalitso Kambauwa Wirima over mismanagement of this year’s Affordable Input Program (AIP) which saw the government being duped money amounting to MK750 million.

Chakwera replaced Lowe with the then Minister of Lands Sam Dalitso Kawale.

He then promised to reshuffle his cabinet as soon as possible but it’s now a month and the President is yet to dissolve his Cabinet.

The delay has attracted mixed reactions among Malawians with many claiming that Chakwera is good at making promises with little action on the ground.

Effort to talk to State House Press Officer Anthony Kasunda proved futile.
