The Consumers Association of Malawi (CAMA) has asked President Lazarus Chakwera to reshuffle his cabinet as promised mid this year.

According to the press statement released on November 30, 2022, CAMA Executive Director, John Kapito plead with President Chakwera to consider the new cabinet with matured Malawians for the purpose of recovering the economy of the country and serving Malawians who are currently suffering socially.

CAMA also asked Chakwera to reconsider the following ministries as they are the key ministries and government institutions in the country; the Minister of Finance, Tourism, Education, Health, Local Government and the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Malawi.

“The current Ministries and institutions are the weakest link in your leadership that fails to improve the lives of Malawians hence these are mostly struggling and suffering group despite their importance to the development of the country” leads the statement.

Finally, Kapito reminded Chakwera that the choice he will make when choosing the Cabinet Ministers will be the reflection of his leadership for the betterment of Malawians.
