The Minister of Health Khumbidze Kandodo Chiponda has joined stakeholders in commemorating this year’s World AIDS Day in Mpemba, Blantyre.
Chiponda who was the guest of honor, took part in the big walking activity the stakeholders organized as part of the event.
Chiponda arrived at Veterinary ground in Mpemba and appreciated the different pavilions displayed by different organizations that are working in fight against HIV and AIDS.
This year’s WORLD AIDS DAY Theme is titled “Equalize” meaning a call to action.
According to the theme, it is a prompt for the world to work in improving practical actions needed to address inequalities that helps to end AIDS.
These include; Increase availability, quality and suitability of services, for HIV treatment, testing and prevention, so that everyone is well-served.
As well as avoiding stigmatization and exclusion faced by people living with HIV and Aids.
