Centre for Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) claims president Lazarus Chakwera lost control of the state affairs in 2022 a situation which led a disorganized administration.
This, according to CDEDI, led to further plunder and looting of public funds by people whom he allowed to “blackmail” him.
In a statement, CDEDI Executive Director, Sylvester Namiwa says they are patiently waiting for Chakwera’s end of year address to hear how his administration will end various challenges the country is sailing through.
Namiwa further cites the NOCMA saga, alleged interference of ACB operations by the state as well as K750 million meant for AIP that was lost to one of the of UK’s firm in a bid to supply fertilizer, as indicators that the head of state is not in control.
But Presidential Press Secretary, Anthony Kasunda says he does not have a comment on issues that Namiwa has raised.
