The Malawi Law Society (MLS) has demanded release of the full report on the arrest of Anti-Corruption Bureau Director General (DG) Martha Chizuma, following the release of just the findings and recommendations yesterday.
The Commission of Inquiry released its findings yesterday following an order from President Lazarus Chakwera who has since been served with the report.
In a statement made available to faceofmalawi MLS president Patrick Mpaka argued that the commission was tasked to zero in on the arrest and not the arrested.
Mpaka further said while some of the recommendations made by the commission make sense, others do not make sense.
He said they cannot fairly evaluate the 12 seasoned commissioners’ output without examining what they have looked at on pages 1-49 of their report, which is not available to the public.
