The Likoma District Council (DC) has revealed that it has found a new contractor to continue and finish the construction of the district council’s office complex which was postponed in 2017.

The project was suspended due to poor construction work done by the previous contractor.

Spokesperson for the DC Ireen Mseteka, said the newly appointed contractor is expected to respond before the resuming of the real project next week.

The plan of the construction of the complex indicated that, all the council’s department offices will be under one roof.

The project which will cost the council about One hundred and eighty four million Kwacha (K184 million).
