In Zambia, a road accident that took place last night has claimed one life while two others are nursing injuries at Kalindawalo General Hospital in Petauke.
According to reports, the accident happened around 21:00 hours in Mthilizi along the Great East Road when the Mayor’s driver lost control of the motor vehicle due to excessive speed and in the process hit a pavement, flipped and overturned on the right side of the road.
Chipata Mayor George Mwanza was one of the passengers and he sustained chest pains and a cut on the head while the driver sustained chest pains and a painful left hand.
Another man identified as Lyson Mwale died at the spot.
