Ken Msonda, Deputy Director of Research and Training for the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), has announced his intention to run for the position of Vice President for the Northern Region at the upcoming DPP convention in July.

Speaking to reporters in Mzuzu, Msonda stated his belief that good people should be promoted, and he believes he is one of them.

However, his announcement comes amidst a proposal from the party’s function review committee to abolish all regional vice presidents positions.

It remains to be seen how this potential change will impact Msonda’s campaign and the convention as a whole.
