Fleetwood Haiya, Vice President of Nyasa Big Bullets, has announced his candidacy for the position of President of the Super League of Malawi (Sulom) in the upcoming elections.

Haiya made the announcement during a press briefing in Blantyre. He stated that one of his main priorities if elected would be to establish a Sulom secretariat to support clubs in realizing returns from elite football and achieving financial independence.

Haiya also announced that he will be unveiling his manifesto soon.

The annual general meeting of Sulom, where 16 super league teams will elect new office bearers, is scheduled for February 25th. At the briefing, Haiya was accompanied by the current Sulom Vice President, Gilbert Mitawa.
