Saulos Chilima, the Vice President of Malawi, met with the United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator for Malawi, Ms. Rebecca Adda-Dontoh, in a courtesy call at his office.

The two discussed various topics of national importance, including UN/Malawi relations, public sector reforms, and MW2063.

During the meeting, Chilima expressed appreciation for the UN’s continued support of the Malawi government, particularly in public sector reforms.

He also acknowledged the technical and financial support provided by the UN Development Programme (UNDP) for the implementation of National IDs in the country.

Additionally, Chilima welcomed the Resident Coordinator’s positive reflection of the cordial relations between Malawi and various UN organs operating in the country.

The meeting was deemed as fruitful by both parties.
