A young inventor from Zomba, Stuward Nankhumwa, was attacked at his home last night by three armed men wearing black face masks.

The 17-year-old student had developed a wifi device and was set to leave for a scholarship at the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) tomorrow.

According to Nankhumwa, the attackers demanded that he reveal how he developed the device, but he was unable to explain due to the trauma of the attack.

Nankhumwa suffered cuts on his face and was on his way to the Zomba Police Station with his parents to report the matter.
