Former National Food Reserve Agency (NFRA) Deputy Chief Executive Officer Gerald Viola has been convicted on a charge of misuse of office.
Viola has however been acquitted on two counts of forgery and interfering with the work of the Internal Procurement and Disposal of Assets.
Principal Resident Magistrate Viva Nyimba has also convicted businessperson Chrispin Chingola on a count of influencing a public officer to misuse a public office.
The state has however prayed that bail remain revoked since the two are now convicts.
