Police in Mulanje are keeping in custody two people for allegedly breaking and stealing from Ntuthama Primary School.

Mulanje Police Station Public Relations Officer Sergeant Innocent Moses, has identified the two as Mphatso Pinifolo aged 23 and Evance Elekison aged 24 are alleged to have stolen two wooden doors belonging to Ntuthama Primary School in the district.

Moses said that the incident took place on March 24, 2023 at Ntuthama Primary School March 2023 at around 0:400 hours

It is reported that on March 25, 2023, the two were offering for sale the two doors to one of the school members of Ntuthama Primary School for about k12,000. In the process, the reporter assured them that they have to come around 19:00 hours with the doors for payment.

Then, he went and inform the headteacher about the issue and confirmed that indeed the doors were stolen from their school.This made them to mobilize forum members and made an ambush which lead to the arrest of the two.

Upon interviewing, the suspects revealed that they stole them at the mentioned school.They have been charged with Breaking into the building and theft.

The suspects will appear before court soon to answer a charge leveled against them.

Both of Mphatso Pinifolo and Evance Elekison hail from Chisinkha Village in Traditional Authority Mabuka in Mulanje District.
