The Malawi Police Service has disclosed that it will enhance use of breathalyzers in all major roads of the country, in an effort to reduce road accidents.
The exercise which has been already started in various roads especially in cities of the country.
National Police Spokesperson Peter Kalaya has confirmed the development and said that 56 road accidents have been registered during Easter,11 people have died.
He says drink and drive was the main cause of the accidents.
Kalaya has also added that the breathalyzers will help to bring sanity in country’s roads to improve road safety.
