Malawi has recorded 56 accidents and14 people have died recorded the Easter period

According to National Spokesperson for Malawi Police Services Peter Kalaya this is an increase of 23 percent from last year, when 45 accidents were registered.

However the country has registered a drop in deaths after nine people died in the same period last year.

Kalaya attributed the increase in accidents to speeding and the tendency of driving while drunk as its major cause.
