Opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Member of Parliament for Thyolo Thava Constituency Mary Navicha has resigned as Deputy Chief Whip in Parliament.
Navicha’s resignation comes amid in the opposition DPP over the endorsement of former President Peter Mutharika as the party’s torchbearer.
The law maker has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying she has decided to resign to concentrate on other duties.
Effort to talk to DPP spokesperson Shadreck Namalomba proved futile.
