Police in Mzuzu have lamented over the continuation of exploiting street connected children in the city as it puts them at risk of abuse.

Spokesperson for Mzuzu Police Inspector Paul Tembo has said that some adults such as, vendors are abusing the children by sending them on vending errands.

Concurring with Tembo, Senior Assistant Social Welfare Officer Lickson Ng’ambi has said despite that they had a sweeping exercise in October last year, the number of street connected children is still high in the city
