In a tragic discovery, authorities have confirmed that a decomposed body was found floating in the Bua River, located in the Dowa District of Malawi.

Mponela Police Station Officer, Macpatson Msadala, has provided some details regarding the deceased individual.

It is believed that the man was in his 70s, tall, slim, and had a dark complexion. He was dressed in black trousers and a red t-shirt.

Upon conducting a postmortem examination at Bowe Health Centre, it was determined that the cause of death was suffocation, which was secondary to drowning.

The circumstances surrounding the man’s drowning are yet to be determined, and investigations are underway to shed light on the incident.
