Political leaders have added their voice in opposing the legalization of same sex marriages in the country.

Recently both Christian and Muslim bodies have voiced their stand against the move, as the Constitution court of the High Court will be sitting tomorrow 23rd May in Blantyre to determine whether organizations promoting same sex relationships should be legalized in Malawi.

Meanwhile Cassim Chilumpha  former Vice President and leader for Alliance for Democracy and Development has said that legalizing the organizations will mean legalizing same sex marriages in Malawi.

According to Chilumpha, majority of the country are against the stand as it is against the natural order of things and that going by democratic principles, the majority must have their will respected.
