Silver Strikers have expressed reservations with the verdict by Football Association of Malawi (FAM) disciplinary committee which found the club guilty of player tapping in the case involving Hassan Kajoke.

In the verdict released yesterday, the disciplinary committee ordered the club to pay K900 000.

The Central Bankers company secretary Peter Masiye maintains that they never approached the player and his manager.

“There was no evidence that we committed this offence. The evidence was very clear that the manager and the player lied to us.

We never approached them.We are happy that the committee has agreed with our plea that Mr Hasaan Kajoke should pay back the money and that he was fined together with his Manager. However we are not satisfied with the fact that we have been fined to pay the sum of MK900,000,” said Masiye.

He however said they will not appeal the decision by the disciplinary committee.
