There were running battles between Police and angry mob in Limbuli Mulanje district.
The mob has destroyed millions of property at Edgar’s Lodge owned by the businessman Edson Nachuma over allegations that he is behind a spate of armed robberies at Limbuli and Muloza trading centers.
The rioting follows an incident on Sunday night where unknown robbers killed one businessman only identified as George Moninji.
The mob has also attacked his home and gone away with assorted property including two vehicles, plasma screens, bedding’s, office and house furniture and other valuable items.
Police have tried to fire teargas to disperses the mob from the two premised as people continue to plunder.
